Seperating Mixtures Steps

1. Pick out the toothpicks and place them on the tray.

2. Use the spoon to scoop out the white beans which can also be place on the tray.

3. Use the magnet to attract all the iron filings and place the iron along with the iron on the tray.

4. Scoop out the marble pebble with a spoon and put on the tray

5. Take the funnel and line it with the filter paper. Take the filter funnel and place it on the beaker with the funnel side up.

6. Take the rest of the remainder substance and pour it into the funnel. This step will be completed after all the water has been seperated from the sand after which the funnel may be taken off and placed on the tray.

7. Place the beaker on the hot plate then turn the hot plate on so the water can heat. After a short while, the water will have evaporated just enough to reveal the salt.

8. Using the tongs, take the beaker off of the hot plate then unplug the hot plate.

9. Clean up your space.
